Former U.S. Rep. Deborah Pryce is a former judge and prosecutor with 16 years of legislative and leadership experience. She is also the founder of Hope Street Kids, and serves on the Board of Trustees for the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption as well as on board of the National Center for Adoption Law and Policy.

 

Her legislative and leadership experience includes serving as a member of the United State House of Representatives for Ohio’s 15th congressional district from 1993-2009. From 2003-2005, she served as House Conference Chair, making her the highest-ranking Republican woman in the U.S. House of Representatives. Deborah also served as Deputy Majority Whip.

 

As a representative, she served on multiple committees including Banking, Finance and Urban Affairs; Government Operations; House Rules; Select Committee on Homeland Security; and Financial Services. Deborah also served as a ranking minority member of the Subcommittee on Capital Markets, Insurance, and Government Sponsored Enterprises and as chair of the Subcommittee on Domestic and International Monetary Policy, Trade and Technology.

 

Prior to her election as a representative, Deborah served as a Franklin County, Ohio, municipal court judge and as a prosecutor and attorney in central Ohio.
